Who needs visa to Vietnam?
Only citizens of certain countries can visit Vietnam without an entry visa. They include: Most citizens of ASEAN member-countries: Thailand, Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, Cambodia and Lao citizens do not need a Vietnam visa if they are visiting the country within 30 days; passport holders from the Philippines do not need a visa for 21 days; Brunei passport holders are not required to get a visa to Vietnam for 15 days. They could apply for popular passport type with return tickets. Citizens of Myanmar and Timor-Leste are all required to get a visa to travel Vietnam.
- Passport holders from Korea, Japan, and the Scandinavian nations (Norway, Denmark, Sweden, and Finland) do not need a visa to Vietnam if they intend to stay in the country within 15 days. They could also apply for popular passport type with return tickets.
- Starting this year, Russian passport holders are no longer required a visa to travel in Vietnam for 15 days as long as they have return tickets.
- All other citizens are required to get a Vietnam entry visa (issued prior to departure by local consulates or embassies) or a pre-approved letter for picking up an entry visa (issued on arrival at Vietnam's International Airports) at the airport. Both are supplied before arrival in the country.
Other Exceptions:
- No visa required for travel in Vietnam for less than 90 days or several visits within 6 months - Citizens of France holding valid diplomatic or official passports.
- No Vietnam visa required for travel within 60 days - Citizens of Chile holding valid diplomatic or official passports.
- No Vietnam entry visa required for travel within 60 days - APEC Business Travel Card (ABTC) Holders from Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) member economies
- Foreigners and Vietnamese nationals bearing foreign passports who enter Vietnam through an international border gate to travel to Phu Quoc Island and stay there for less than 15 days will also be exempted from Vietnam visa application. Passports must be valid for at least 45 days. After arriving on Phu Quoc Island, the Vietnamese immigration department will be responsible for issuing visas on the spot if visitors want to travel other localities or stay in the island for more than 15 days.
- No visa required for Vietnamese overseas for less than 90 days staying if they are holding Vietnam visa exemption certificate.

From now on, you can get your Vietnam visa fast and simple without having to send your passport to the Vietnam embassy. Please note that this system works at the airport only.
How does the electronic visa system work?
Firstly, ask for a pre-approved letter for picking up your visa to Vietnam upon arrival at any international airport in Vietnam. You can get this pre-approved letter from any travel agent or partner in Vietnam.
Next, print out the pre-approved letter and attach two (2) passport-size photos (4x6cm) for boarding the airplane. Upon arrival at any international airport in Vietnam, show the pre-approved letter for checking at the "Landing Visa Counter" then pay for the stamped fee. Get your Vietnam visa stamped on your passport by Vietnamese immigration officers within 5-10 minutes.

Vietnam now opens and welcomes all travelers and business people to Vietnam. Thanks to that, getting visa to Vietnam is now very easy and simple. There is a new way to get visa to Vietnam very simple and easy but rarely one knows about it. That is getting pre-approved letter with code for picking up visa upon arrival Vietnam at international airport (Tan Son Nhat int'l airport in Ho Chi Minh City, Noibai int'l airport in Hanoi Capital city and Danang int'l airport in Danang city).

What is serviced fee?
Serviced fee as you may also see in the Service Fee column is the fee we charge for arranging the pre-approved letter for picking up your visa-upon-arrival at any Vietnam airport.
Unless you already have valid Vietnam travel visa stamped on your passport, you must have pre-approved letter at hand for picking up your visa-upon-arrival at the airport in Vietnam.
You cannot enter and travel Vietnam and will be forced to fly back to your country of origin if you do not have the pre-approved letter for picking up your Vietnam visa-upon-arrival at the airport.
Vietnamese travel agents and companies could help you arrange the pre-approved letter for picking up your visa-upon-arrival at the airport. In our case, we only require our clients to pay for our service if and thus, the term we call "Service Fee."
Please note that the service fee does not cover the stamp fee, which will be paid in cash directly at the airport when you pick up your Vietnam visa.
What is stamped fee?
Stamp fee, as you see in stamp fee column, is the fee you have to pay in cash directly at the airport when you pick up your visa there.
You must prepare in cash USD for paying stamp fee when you pick up your visa at Vietnam airport. Here after the tariff you can consider to prepare the money.
- $35USD for single entry visa from 1 month to 6 month visa
- $50USD for multiple entries visa from 1 month to 6 month visa
- $100USD for 1 year multiple entries visa.
Once again, you must paid in cash and prepare cash for this amount because you can not pay by credit cards for this amount at the airport & there is no ATM in this area at the airport.
Where to get visa stamped?
We arrange visa upon arrival at the airport for those entering Vietnam by air & wish to get visa at the airport, and therefore your visa must be picked up at the airport. You should contact Vietnamese embassy to get visa if you NOT entering Vietnam by air.
You must have pre-approved letter from Vietnam Immigration Department allow you pick up your visa upon arrival at the airport. Without this letter you can not boarding the airplane & get visa when you arrive.
When you arrive at the airport of Vietnam, you will see "LANDING VISA" counter before you check out, coming to the "Landing visa" counter, show the pre-approved letter for checking on the system then wait for your visa stamped on your passport.
Thing to do:
- Print out the pre-approved letter for picking up visa upon arrival Vietnam at the airport.
- You should prepare in cash for paying stamp fee at the airport
- 2 passport size photos (4x6cm)
- Filling Application Form for enter and exit Vietnam. You may download this form & filling in advance.
First of all, we would like to inform you that our visa service available at the airport only. Therefore your visa must be picked up at the airport of Vietnam when you arrive if you use our visa service.
Warning: You should contact Vietnamese embassy to get visa if you NOT entering Vietnam by air.
Please consider our advice below to decide single or multiple entries visa.
- A single entry visa allows you enter/ exit Vietnam 1 time or it is also called visa with single use. Once your single entry visa used, you can not entering again Vietnam with this used visa. You must apply for the new one if you want to come back Vietnam again. For example, with 1 month single entry visa, you can enter Vietnam stay for less than 30days. You can not re-enter Vietnam if you exit Vietnam after 10days staying, even your visa valid for 30days.
- A multiple entries visa allows you enter / exit Vietnam unlimited times as long as your visa still valid. Your multiple entries visa must be picked at the airport when you arrive. After getting your multiple entries visa at the airport, you can exit & re-entering Vietnam at any port you want. For example, you apply for 3 month multiple entries visa & pick up your visa at the airport, then you depart to Lao by land crossing after 10days staying in Vietnam, after spending your holiday in many difference countries, you can come back Vietnam with your multiple entries visa if your visa still valid - 3 months.
In conclusion, your visa must be picked up upon arrival at the airport of Vietnam, you can exit Vietnam at any port you want after you get your visa stamped on your passport at the airport. We recommend you apply for multiple entries visa if you intend to enter/exit Vietnam many times for a period.
